When I first brainstormed this idea, I intended to design a “camera” that would function as a sort of looking glass / filtered lens. In my initial concept, my mom would be carrying around this small camera around in her bag, and when she would encounter a special view or moment, she could hold up this lens and plant our family into the picture frame, anywhere and anytime. But after sketching out my idea, I realized that it’d be nice if the viewer could capture the moment to keep, and decided that being able to make this camera functional with a phone would be a key feature. Another goal was to make interchangeable “filters” that would have different moments of our family to insert into the view that would make sense for the setting and perspective.
